Hyderabad hosts program on mission LiFE’s impact on society and environment

Hyderabad: Mission LiFE (Lifestyle for Environment), a pioneering initiative launched by government of India in 2022 with the support of various stakeholders aims to motivate at least one billion Indians and other global citizens to lead a sustainable and environmentally-conscious way of living by creating a mass movement individually and through group actions for environmental protection and conservation till 2028.
Among others, Heeralal Samaria, Chief Information Commissioner (CIC), Delhi, Dr Shashank Goel, Director-General, Dr MCR HRD Institute, spoke and declared their wholehearted support for the mission launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at COP26. MD of NREDCAP Janaiah, senior faculty Dr Madhavi, unveiled a poster of BEE in Mission LIFE highlighting its core objectives of energy efficiency.
As part of its endeavour to propagate the core objectives of Mission LIFE, Media Advisor (Southern States/ UTs) wing of the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) A Chandrasekhar Reddy, Ministry of Power in coordination with Dr MCR HRD and TG, NREDCAP organised a program in Hyderabad on the impact of Mission LIFE for the benefit of society and to protect the interest of the public.
Samaria harped on the urgency of a collective effort against climate change and stressed that every individual, family, community, and all the stakeholders hold a crucial role in combating the global challenges posed by climate change, transcending the prevailing notion that climate action is solely the purview of governments. Mission LiFE fosters a spirit encapsulated in the P3 model: “Pro Planet People, rooted in a lifestyle for the planet, by the planet, and of the planet,” he stated.
